Rick Mikula, aka. The Butterfly Guy, came to camp.  He shared with us the different types of species, ways to catch them, ways to prolong their life as well as how a butterfly works.   He taught us the different between moths and butterflies as well as helped understand some of the false myths about butterflies.  Rick is one of the worlds best experts on butterflies, having published multiple books.  He has worked with Hollywood movies, has been featured in multiple magazines including People magazine.  Rick really gave us an incite on the butterfly and how unique they really are. http://butterflyrick.com/

On Thursday, August 4th, Camp had a professional game show come visit.   Each child from 2nd to 10th grade got a turn to participate in the game.  The campers had to push the buzzer and answer the questions to receive points.  Once getting the answer correct the campers then had to do the correct dance to the music played.  Lots of Fun... and paying attention in school really helped those who knew their stuff.
