<![CDATA[Summer Camp Parent Helps/Hints]]>Fri, 19 Apr 2013 19:58:47 GMThttp://www.campcuriosity.com/1/post/2013/04/summer-camp-parent-helpshints.html
1. Label Everything! A great product that we have found is "inch bug". Try to Label everything from your towel to your shoes. Here is a list of the most frequently found items in the lost and found: water bottles, goggles, shoes, towels, shirts, lunch boxes, swim shorts and rain ponchos. (Inchbug even makes a sticker that will go on the inside of your shoes.) Socks and Underpants are thrown out for sanitary reasons. Anything not claimed by the end of the season will be donated to charity.
2. Sunscreen Before You Come to Camp. Even though the counselors will be applying sunscreen through out the day, it is important to have a good coat of sunscreen to start.
3. Make Sure Your Child Has a Pair of Sneakers. Closed toed shoes are a must for summer camp. Even though Crocks are easy to put on and off, they are not suited for running. Students who do not have sneakers will not be able to participate in certain activities such as monkey bars, climbing gyms, ropes course elements, and other specific sport events due to safety reasons.
4. Bring Your I.D. - Anyone picking up their camper will need to show proof of I.D. Only personnel approved through the registration for will be allowed to pick up.
5. Drive Slowly and Obey Signs - Groups, especially during the pick up time, are working their way back to the pick up/drop off areas. Please follow the 5mph speed limit.
