Camp Curiosity students were visited today by a sneaky, little leprechaun! "Lucky" came into classrooms when students were out and made a big mess with some funny tricks too. He also hide some treasure bags for each student to find and take home. Happy St. Patrick's Day!
This week on Tuesday and Thursday, Camp Curiosity students had Farm Education class all about birds! There are many species of birds that hang out during the cold, winter months and others that we have seen return to our school campus with the soon-to-be spring season. What's your favorite kind of bird? Students participated in various bird-related centers. Bird matching with fuzzy bird friends and nest allowed students to enjoy some dramatic play fun - they even made their own bird's sound. Students talked about birds making nests for their eggs and even used some every day school toys to build a nest for an egg. Each student also had the opportunity to make a bird seed ornament to hang outside around our campus and help feed our school birds! Ask your child what birds eat and what birds may use to make their nest, and what types of birds we see in different seasons.
