September is National Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month!
All women are at risk for ovarian cancer. Ovarian cancer can often "hide" until late stages when symptoms begin - symptoms that are very common and can be mistaken for other illnesses. Preventative testing to help diagnosis ovarian cancer at an early stage is very limited. CT and PET scanning can provide oncologists with a diagnosis, but at expensive costs that are not always covered by health insurance as preventative medicine.
Wear your TEAL on Friday, September 1st to kick off the month and communicate with the women in your life about the risks of ovarian cancer!

Find the Teal In Every Day- those touched by ovarian cancer can spot the color teal right away. This September, when you spot it, take a pic and use the hashtag #findthetealineveryday when you post it to instagram or twitter. There will be a lucky winner chosen at the end of the month. The more you post, the better your chance of winning! This campaign is in memory of Barbara Giannotti who always found the teal in every day.
